What are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by the websites you visit. They can be used to improve website performance, remember your preferences and help us to promote our services to you on other websites, based on what you’ve looked at.

Please be aware that if you if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including essential cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of certain websites.

We use the following cookies on our website.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (Global Site Tag – gtag.js) to collate information about how you use this website. Analytical cookies allow us to count the number of visitors to our website as well as detail how visitors navigate through our website (anonymously). This helps us to improve the way our website works. These cookies record a visit to our website, the pages visited and the links followed.

* We use Google Analytics only with IP anonymisation enabled – this means that Google will truncate the IP address of users within EU, making a user’s IP address unidentifiable.

Users can prevent the collection of data about their use of the website generated by the cookie, and the processing of data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in through the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en(opens in a new window).

Google Ads

These ads appear at the top of Google search results (they’re the ones with “Ad” next to them) if you have searched for something we’re promoting (e.g. Combi Boilers).

We use cookies to track how many people click through to our site from these ads. Again, no personally identifiable data is collected in this type of tracking.

Consent can’t automatically be revoked but you can ‘opt out’ or change your ad settings on the Google site https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated (opens in a new window).

Microsoft Bing Ads

These ads appear at the top of Bing search results (they’re the ones with “Ad” next to them) if you have searched for something we’re promoting (e.g. Combi Boilers).

The conversion and tracking tool ‘Bing Ads’ from Microsoft stores a cookie on the user’s computer to enable an analysis of the use of our website. The prerequisite for this is that the user has accessed our website through an ad from Microsoft Bing Ads. This enables Microsoft and us to know that someone has clicked on an ad, has been redirected to our website and has reached a predetermined target page. We only see the total number of users who clicked on a Bing ad and were then forwarded to the target page (conversions). No IP addresses are stored. No other personal information about the identity of the user will be disclosed.

Facebook Pixel

Through the use of Facebook Pixel on our website, a direct connection is made to the Facebook server when visiting our website. Your visit to our website and the pages you have viewed are transmitted to the Facebook server. In addition, information and parameters are transmitted that are required for the optimisation of our advertisements; this helps us to measure their success. In particular, this is information about so-called “conversion-events” (ie whether a user has clicked on one of our Facebook adverts and visited our website to request quotes).

For more information about the collection and use of data by Facebook, as well as about your rights in relation to this matter and ways to protect your privacy, please refer to Facebook’s privacy policy found at: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/ (opens in a new window).
